Review for Honor and Remember, Inc., Chesapeake, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My name is Cheryl Softich and I am the mother of the late SPC Noah C Pierce. Noah joined the Army in the Delayed Entry Program August 16th, 2001 while still a senior in high school. This, for him was the beginning of fulfilling a life long dream of serving his country. He graduated in June of 2002 and by June 24 of the same year he was off to boot camp. Noah's last day of service was June 24th, 2006. He completed his service and served 2 tours of duty overseas including being on the front lines March 2003 when the invasion officially started. He turned 19 and 21 overseas and was dead at 23. He left behind a grieving mother, father, sister, friends. As his mother my biggest fear is my son will be forgotten and that is not right. He is dead because of his love of Our Country as are so many before him and after him. I am sure I am not the only mother afraid their Loved One will be forgotten after all he/she did for us, the American People. Along comes the HONOR and REMEMBER FLAG and it's wonderful meaning. IT means that We the AMERICAN People will NOT FORGET the FALLEN. It is both an Honor to all who served and Gave All, and to their families who lost the most. This Flag is such a huge part of my life. I know what it means and can only hope others grasp this concept of Respect, Love, and Honor I feel as my own HONOR AND REMEMBER FLAG proudly flies in my front yard in Minnesota. My hope is to see this Flag flying in every State and in every yard where a family has joined the Families of the Fallen.
I read something I saw on a wall in a VFW...it never left me and I will end this with that saying in the hopes it might make a difference. I do not know who wrote it...

ONLY TWO DEFINING FORCES HAVE EVER OFFERED TO DIE FOR YOU, JESUS CHRIST AND THE AMERICAN G.I. ONE DIED FOR YOUR SOUL, THE OTHER FOR YOUR FREEDOM.
