I am a gold star father. lost my son in Iraq in 2008. also have another son who had 6 tours of both ( 3 ea) Iraq and Afghanistan. I am a disabled vet, Vietnam era. my wife died suddenly in 2007. I was promised an honor and remember flag years ago and was told I had to wait. then 2 yrs ago I was told to expect the flag within 2 months. I told whomever called that I did not want ceremony, and never heard back from anyone. I used to support this effort but since have taken all decals and flags that I purchased down. why is everything based on money???? honor and remember is not for support or remembrance. they are a money hungry clic.

Mr K It is unfortunate that over one thousand families have requested flags and remain for long periods on our waiting list. We do not have the manpower or resources to reach them all in a manner acceptable to us. In states where we have chapters it is much sooner. In your state we had an operating chapter that must have contacted you and then they dissipated. For that we are extremely sorry. This effort has nothing to do with money, but it does take funding to make each flag individually and then to make sure it is respectfully presented. We are in the process of re-forming your state chapter and our hope is that you will soon be contact.
