Review for Junior State of America, Oakland, CA, USA

I joined JSA not really having any idea what it was or what a life changer it would turn out to be. I never really thought political activism or debate were for me but JSA has been an amazingly fun and enriching experience. I've learned so much about speaking, collaborating, and leadership through this organization and have met so many incredibly talented and intelligent people. My experience at JSA has definitely shaped my high school experience from the weekly meetings to the major conferences.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make sure incoming high school students know about it. Give it recognition like Model UN and Congressional Debate get.
