Review for Junior State of America, Oakland, CA, USA
Currently I am a junior in high school, and I have been involved in the Junior State of America since freshman year. Although I originally joined this organization to boost my college résumé, my love for the Junior State of America soon grew once I began attending the conferences, summer school, and institutes. These programs have very much helped me develop great speaking skills, leadership, and open-mindedness to ideas of other people, even if they are not what I personally believe. JSA had also allowed me to develop as a person, and into a leader. JSA is also filled with some of the most intelligent and kind people I have ever met in my life so far. They are all extremely kind and easy to befriend! In my opinion, summer school has been my favorite program because you get to experience life on a college campus, learn an interesting and fun subject, and meet amazing people! Overall, I would highly recommend JSA to anyone because it is not just a debate club. This organization allowed me to develop into the leader and person I am today
