My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Junior State of America, Oakland, CA, USA
JSA is a non-partisan (meaning all are welcome, Democrats, Republicans, libertarians, members of the Tea Party) organization that is student-run and completely welcoming. I've attended their outstanding summer school, I've been to the inspiring conventions and One-Day events and through it all, I've constantly been amazed by the passion of my peers for politics- a passion that rivaled mine at times- and the way they dedicated substantial amounts of time and energy to make sure that the conventions and events were smoothly running. JSA transformed my life and made me think seriously about politics as a career, and I'm 99% sure that I'll pursue that field in college. JSA Summer School is a little costly but the lowered costs of conventions made up for it. The whole JSA experience is not to be missed, they've been inspiring and helping high schoolers channel their political ambitions and opinions for over 80 years.
