My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Junior State of America, Oakland, CA, USA
Well, I may not have joined for a cookie, but I am definitely glad I did. I joined JSA because of a love of debate and ended up finding a community of people who shared similar interests and beliefs. JSA has helped me in so many ways from expanding my ability to speak publicly to providing me with a vast amount of knowledge about US politics. I've witnessed people who were afraid to speak in class become amazing public speakers. It is an incredible experience seeing teenagers discuss political issues after hearing their peers debate that same issue. JSA has been a life-changing experience for me and I will forever be indebted to the organization and the people who I've come to know because of it.
