Review for Ian Somerhalder Foundation, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Attended a fundraiser to support ISF and was treated horribly by staff who were rude, yelled and took zero time to answer questions. The event was incredibly disorganized (no one knew what was going on) and attendees were promised many things that were simply not given, such as the chance to say hello to Mr. Somerhalder (who only spoke to his friends and staff and ignored all of the people who donated a lot of money and time to be there that evening) and to discuss his goals for the organization.
I still have no idea what the organization actually does with all of the money, though I just read that about 24% of DONATIONS were spent on himself. I thought I was donating money to save the animals and environment? I know a lot of non-profits cannot use 100% of the donations to work directly toward the cause. But most keep it below 3%.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
ask that they rethink how they treat the people who spend time and money to support their cause. Also, possibly re-evaluating how they spend their donations because not a lot of money was actually spent on doing what they claimed they would do.

Mr. Somerhalder does not profit at all from donations made to ISF. ISF's Medical Emergency Grant Program has helped over 800 animals in need since our launch in February 2014.
