Review for Islamic Relief USA, Alexandria, VA, USA
I've had the privilege of witnessing the incredible work of Islamic Relief USA, and I'm truly inspired by their impact.
What sets them apart? It's their unwavering commitment to humanity, their efficiency in resource use, and their transparency in reporting. They go beyond emergency relief, fostering sustainability and empowering communities.
But what strikes me most is their heart. They engage with local communities, respecting their dignity, and collaborate across faiths to make a difference.
In a challenging world, Islamic Relief USA shines as a beacon of hope. I encourage you to support them. Your contribution will truly change lives.
Thank you, Islamic Relief USA, for your outstanding dedication to a more compassionate world.

Review for Islamic Relief USA, Alexandria, VA, USA
Islamic Relief has helped save over 134,000,000 million people around the globe, providing food, clean water, medical supplies, education, shelter and much more to over 70 countries since their inception. They’re ambitious, they take risks. They share their successes and their failures. They’re transparent.
Their website and their use of social media are great. They are simple and beautiful and lovable. And it’s funny seeing other charities adopt their color schemes and style.
One of the reasons I donate to them is they don’t claim they are a ‘100% model’ charity where they guarantee that 100% of my donation will go directly to the field. Because of that I support Islamic Relief.
It’s unnecessary and irresponsible, and it’s not sustainable to claim that.
Organization that do even in the simplest of terms a donation from me would almost certainly incur ‘credit card’ fees. But how can you operate like that. How about if the volunteer who does it for free has a life changing status or the donor who covers it can not.
Staff deserve wages and that’s why I give to Islamic Relief because of their values they have Rahma to their staff by paying them fair wages.
For the charities that claim 100% who pays the wages? Their rent? Their electricity bill? Supplies? Credit card fees. What if they can’t find enough ‘private donors, foundations and sponsors’ to pay these? Does my donation just sit in account, unable to be used because of their own restrictions?
And really, shouldn’t some of my donation be spent on auditing the finances behind my donation? Shouldn’t some be spent on measuring the impact of my donation? Shouldn’t some be spent on assessing how next year’s donation can be used better than this year’s?
As much as I respect The effort of 100% donation from these charities, I get the sense that perhaps they don’t respect me, the donor.
Most of all, the 100% Model is damaging to nearly every other charity because it gives the public unrealistic expectations. It implies that ‘100% to the field’ is desirable, truthful and even possible. It’s not.
This is why I give to Islamic Relief. They have great staff, a great vision and being faith based governed by their great values I trust they will not be wasteful with my donation and have a reasonable overhead like they do.
Thank you Islamic Relief for your professionalism.

Recently I have been searching for top charities to donate to for the Tsunami and Earthquakes that hit Indonesia and to my surprise one of my favorite charities is one of the preferred charities to give to because of their boots on the ground.
Its great to see them distributing much needed aid whiten days of the disaster. Keep up the great work.

I have dealt with many charities in the past. Honestly I haven't seen one run as good as Islamic Relief USA. I stopped by the office to drop of a donation and was impressed of the professionalism. They run it better then non Muslim charities in my opinion.
Keep up the great work guys you deserve the top charity award
