We were so sad when our dachshund Rylie died. Our grandaughter decided we needed another dog and had been searching Pets.com for what she said was the perfect dog for us. At first I said no but decided to just look at the picture. There she was a young female Dachshund called Bitsy who was the most adorable dog I have ever seen!
We e-mailed for more info . We never expected a reply that evening because it was late but Karen from D & R answered right away. Adoption papers were filled out quickly and even though it was a holiday Karen kept in touch with us all through the process I was so impressed that they checked references and had to get a recomendation from our Vet. They really care for all the dogs they place and want them to go to the best homes.
The exciting news that we were approved came on Sat. and on Sunday we drove 3 hours to meet Bitsy. One look at her and we fell in love . We completed the adoption and Bitsy was ours !
Karen and D & R Rescue had made sure she was checked out by a Vet., Microchipped, up to date on all her shots even had a colar and lease, dog food and treats.
Thank you again Karen and D & R Rescue for all you did for us . Bitsy is the sweetest dog and so much fun. Your compassion and dedication for finding good homes for these rescued animals is amazing. God bless all of you !
