Review for Health Link Services, Hermitage, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am the Executive Director of Health Link Services. We have an excellent state approved nurse aide training program that provides skills and job training. Our graduates work in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, hospice and clinics. Our training program had a 100% pass rate on the state competency exam 3 out of 4 quarters in 2009. This program provides an opportunity for individuals to care for our elderly and those with healthcare needs. This training program has been a springboard for individuals to become a RN or LPN. The cost for the training program is zero for individuals. The only cost for an individual is to purchase a white uniform and have his/her physician sign a physical exam form. We are always seeking opportunities for funding, such as fundraising ideas, grants and/or donations.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

as an instructor and director. The graduates of this program continue to inspire all of us - this program has changed lives.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people - the life stories we hear every day. This program, our instructors touch hearts everyday and make a difference in individuals, healthcare facilities, and our community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

the instructors are all RNs and have years of experience and education. They are role models for the students and provide skills, encouragement and support.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

duplicate this program all over the country and be able to take advantage of some of the technical learning tools that we have not been able to do.
