Review for Adopt A Platoon, Lozano, TX, USA
Great, they are getting money from people to give to the troops. They also don't care who it is they get money from. They are targeting the elderly, especially retired military, and taking advantage of them preying on their patriotism and senility. I have told them to leave my father alone, they won't. They take advantage of people. And if you have to do that do help others, then something is really wrong.

If they are made aware of a situation,they need to take the elderly, sick and confused off their mailing list and just leave them alone. I am not concerned about their charity, I am concerned about my elderly father they are taking advantage of. It's sickening.

Review for HonorBound Foundation, Inc., Darien, CT, USA
Do not donate to this "charity." Once they suck you in you will NEVER get get rid of them. They will not communicate with you either. And they will never stop. They are also listed on Americas Worst Charities. Sorta says it all.

Review for Disabled American Veterans, Goshen, IN, USA
I have to agree with these unfavorable comments. What these people do is take advantage of the elderly and sick. They play on their patriotism waving the American flag in one hand and holding the other one out for money. And they ask for large donations, thousands. They had the nerve to ask for $12,000 one time. They need to stop doing this. My father is by no means rich but he is senile enough to think he is. My father is ex military, and he is a prime target. I have asked repeatedly to take him off their mailing list and I have yet to receive an answer, phone or e- mail.

Respond to people, stop asking for so much money and when someones asks to be taken off your mailing list just do it and stop sending requests for money.

My role would actually be protector of my father. He is 90 years old and senile, these people will not leave him alone. I feel they are taking advantage of him, and I have asked them to stop. But here is the problem. They won't.

Review for Disabled American Veterans, Las Vegas, NV, USA
There are so many of these veteran charities, it makes me sick. They are all after my 90 year old father, they work on him and use his patriotism to get him to give them money. They prey on him, they are nothing but vultures. He is confused and senile and they take advantage of that also.. Once, they received a $460 donation from him , then turned around a few weeks later and asked him for another donation and would he increase it. Are you kidding me? That is when my brother and I got involved.
