Review for Children Of God Relief Fund Inc, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I toured Nyumbani in February, 2018 and witnessed first-hand the miracles that take place within this organization, daily! They house, educate and love children who are HIV+ and who have been orphaned by AIDS. They created a 1,000-acre space for orphaned children and youth to be raised "off the land" as they are guided by and gain wisdom from elderly grandmothers and grandfathers. I watched Nyumbani’s Lea Toto HIV/AIDS community outreach program operate eight centers and serve between 2,100 and 3,100 HIV-positive children and up to 15,000 family members. Nyumbani's world-class Diagnostic Laboratory gives scientists and medical staff high-tech tools to better diagnose and treat Kenya’s HIV/AIDS patients. The on-site laboratory allows more accurate and faster HIV/AIDS diagnosis and testing, and is open to anyone in need.

I LOVE this organization, and you should too! Check them out, support them, and know that your funds are invested wisely!!!

Review for Cornerstone Montgomery, Inc., Bethesda, MD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I don't just work for Cornerstone Montgomery, I am one of their major donors. As my charity of choice, I give back to the organization because I get to see my investment in action each and every day. Not a penny is wasted, and every opportunity is seized!

If you care about people, and want to be around other people who feel the same then this is your organization to support!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Level the playing field.

Review for Hire Our Heroes, Leesburg, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was compelled to help Hire Our Heroes because they have a very unique way of employing veterans that works -- from intensive workshops and training on personal branding to helping fly (that's right, fly) veterans to job interviews across the country. In my short 8-week volunteer experience with HOH, they were able to help 5 veterans launch their careers with very impressive organizations. The board and the hard-working volunteers feel very passionate about this work and their feelings are contagious!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Hire staff!
