My Nonprofit Reviews

gail a murphy
Review for Womens Entrepreneurship Initiative, Scottsdale, AZ, USA
I have been involved with WEI since its inception... and I can say that Heather and her subordinates, give their all, dedicate their time and energies and their personal time and resource to the benefit and creation of WEI. Their vision began as a personal quest to make things different for those women around the world who find themselves widowed. After research and travel to the most remote areas of India, she (Heather) found that she could assist the women and thier small children. She does not enable, rather gives these women the tools to create their own destiny! An empowering position for any woman! Heather and her team train women in skills that allow them to make valuable and important decisions for their loved ones! They become self sufficient and able to support their children, a gift in any society or economic class. Heather has single handedly met with many potential supporters and been seen on local television expressing very accurately the need for all to become aware of the world and to do what we can, as individuals and groups to make the world a better place.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the good that can come from a small organization.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
expand their fund raisers to larger groups of people.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the commmraderie of a small group and the dedication to their vision to chage the world.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very concerned about those women in the world and what they, no matter how minimal could accomplish.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
educate, train, thousands of women in several countires, reaching a specific goal to empower widows and single moms with less opportunities in the world.
Ways to make it better...
more resources available to the group.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funding activites in a very tough economic time.
