Review for Maternity Care Coalition, Philadelphia, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The message line, "Strengthening Families One Baby at a Time," is more than a description of Maternity Care Coalition -- it represents the life of the organziation. Never has an organization cared so much, supported so well, and acted so responsibly (fiscally, socially, and economically) in its mission to positively impact the health of babies and families. As a former board leader and long-time volunteer, it has been a pleasure working with a nonprofit that lives its words!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

assure that the Philadelphia region's infant mortality was improved, all women got the best pre-natal care, and families had the necessary supports to care for their babies and families.

Review for JEVS Human Services, Philadelphia, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

JEVS Human Services is the gold standard for human services organizations. Its tagline, "making hope happen," clearly describes the benefits clients receive. The amazing staff at JEVS is the complement to the top-tier services provided to those in need. Particularly today, when people are out of work, when government funding is shrinking, JEVS steps up and gives people the support they need for the independence they desire.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Its activism in supporting those who are in need
