I never imagined the reach and impact the Project would have in such a short time. It is fascinating to see the true essence of humanity and a wanting to just do good by so many people. I have seen generosity and support across the country that is unparalleled. It has been a humbling experience to interact with family members of the those lost on Sept. 11th and when the word "thanks' is given, I have been taken back at times because we are just doing what should and needs to be done. As firefighters, it is imperative to make sure that everyone understands and remembers the sacrifices made by those lost of Sept. 11th and all firefighters killed in the line of duty each year. This Project helps to bridge the gap for people across the country to be able to learn, honor and remember.
