Review for Catch A Lift Fund/ Christopher Coffland Memorial Fund Inc., Timonium, MD, USA
Since I got injured in Afghanistan and after 7 reconstructive surgeries and a ton of medication for pain, steroids, etc. it was really hard for me to get to a gym or work out. Since Catch a Lift decided to help me with gym equipment, my health is improving, losing 21 pounds and generally feeling better about myself. I will always be grateful to them for helping me coming out of a black hole. Thanks Catch a Lift!!!
Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA
After I got medically retired from the Army as an infantryman in Sept 2012, I decided to go to school, even when my memory wasn't helping me. Due to medications and not been a social individual, I start to gain weight, not working out, not going anywhere, my life start to "hit bottom" from there. I never participated in any program related to injured soldiers before, but my VA counselor convince me to apply for the TRACK Program with the Wounded Warrior Project. Since I am in the program I'm doing a lot better;going to the gym is a MOST, doing my homework at the TRACK installation in San Antonio is a relieve because I have the help of tutors as well and if you have a TBI injured they have someone who will work with you to help you to regain or to do different things about it.
I encourage to everyone to attend this programs, and I will never be thankful enough to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Americans who donate to this cause for everything they do for myself to get better in my transition to civilian life, and again Thank You!.
