Review for Wild Love Preserve, Kingston, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Challis HMA is a very special place where my husband and I love to search out and photograph the wild horses. Andrea Maki and Wild Love Preserve have been working for many years to protect and preserve the horses and their habitat by developing a working relationship with the BLM, wild horse advocates and local ranchers. This is a perilous time for wild horses, and I fear for their fate, so it's with a breath of fresh air that I support WLP and its successful and sane manner of working to save their lives.

Review for White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue, Burkeville, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

In 2010 my husband rescued an old, blind Appaloosa pony from certain death, from a Montana auction yard. Our long path to finding him a caring home led us to White Bird, 2400 miles away. Tom and Jorg made room for Mr. Bowersox, and since his arrival there, he's become a symbol of faith and hope for all horses, sighted or not. Mr. B and all the other 4-legged residents receive exemplary care, love, and respect from the volunteers and staff, and in my opinion, White Bird is THE example for other sanctuaries to follow. Mr. B has been happily living there for 3-1/2 years; we keep in contact with Tom and Jorg, who kindly send us updates if something significant is happening with him. I don't have enough words or space to say how much I appreciate White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue. They should get TEN STARS!!
