Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
First and foremost: This is truly an amazing organization. Operation Paws for Homes takes dogs from overcrowded, high-kill shelters in rural areas and brings these dogs (who would normally be overlooked) up North where there is a higher population of adopters. There is no facility where these dogs are held; it is a network of fosters who open their hearts and homes to these dogs. Amazing!
OPH never discriminates with their selection of dogs. In fact, they frequently rescue dogs that are sick or need expensive treatment, nurse them to health and find them their forever family. Personally, I find the rescue's dedication and commit to these animals remarkable. They are loved and some are even trained before they find their forever home. Everyone in the rescue is supportive, helpful and truly wants each dog to thrive. You couldn't ask for anything better.
