I have been working with T.E.A.L.: Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer since January. I go to St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn and work as the Campus Activities Board Special Programs Coordinator. This past September, St. Joseph's wasn't able to attend T.E.A.L.'s annual walk, but instead we fundraised and had CEO Pamela come to our school for an event specially dedicated to Ovarian Cancer. For weeks beforehand I read T.E.A.L.'s website over and over, as I felt I had such a tie to this organization, even before knowing Pamela and all she has done. After the event I became an intern for T.E.A.L. and I am so glad I did. Not many people don't know about this type of cancer or this organization and it is so important to spread the word! Now I help with events and having T.E.A.L.'s voice heard and it is AMAZING! Pamela is dedicated, smart, passionate and an overall great person. If you are looking to support a cause, support this one! Read about T.E.A.L. on our website and encourage others to do the same. Every time I am doing research for a good news story to share on T.E.A.L.'s page, I learn something new and it shocks me, not only because I didn't know about it, but also because it could happen to anyone! I have a large family and my four sister, mother, grandmothers, aunts, and cousins all mean the world to me. Pamela dedicated her life to this organization for her sister and all the women in the world that can be affected. I do this not only to help T.E.A.L. and all of the amazing ladies out there, but for Pamela, Louisa and all the important women in my life. Awareness is key, and that is what our mission is. T.E.A.L. is amazing for a million reasons and you should see why!! Become involved, or even just spread the word. Everyone that is involved with this organization is passionate, dedicated, smart and hardworking. Pamela, and the rest of the T.E.A.L. team works hard every day throughout the year to make this foundation work, and together we can change lives! T.E.A.L. is amazing in every aspect and I am so glad I am a part of such a great organization.
