Review for Hearts Speak Inc., Poughkeepsie, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I learned about HeARTs Speak from seeing their logo on beautiful images of adoptable animals across social media. I went to the website to learn more about the organization and immediately set a goal for myself of achieving Artist Member status. I had been photographing dogs for my rescue of choice for a couple of years, and wanted to become a member in order to gain access to the amazing tools and resources they offer. At the time, I was unaware of the awesome community they also foster for members. The knowledge sharing and support is just wonderful, and I'm thrilled to be able to learn from the talented members gathered there. I have learned so much and have been able to expand my volunteer photography to a large city shelter where they were thrilled to be offered the services of a HeARTs Speak member. I'm very proud to be a part of this dedicated community of talented animal lovers, and wholeheartedly encourage anyone interested in donating or joining to do so.

Review for GO Humanity, Inc, Houston, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

FBB offers humanists the ability to help others through volunteerism and/or charitable giving in a way consistent with humanist values. I am proud to be associated with this great organization that is helping causes as varied as accused witches in Ghana, native language initiatives in the US, fundraising for disaster recovery in the US and abroad, LGBT groups such as Audre Lorde Project and Transgender Law Center, and many others. Due to their careful and thorough vetting process, I am confident my donations are being used wisely. HIghly recommended.

Review for All Border Collie Rescue, The Woodlands, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My first contact with All Border Collie Rescue was in 2012, when my Border Collie, Luke, went missing. I liked their Facebook page and reached out to them hoping someone might have found him and notified the rescue. While that was not the case, they were very sympathetic and followed up with me to ensure he had been found. A month or so later, I saw a FB post asking for fosters. I fostered a puppy for about 6 weeks before falling in love and adopting her. We have been fostering continuously for them ever since, and work events as volunteers.

The leaders of the group are passionate, knowledgeable people who truly want the best homes possible for all the homeless dogs out there. While the group's focus is on Border Collies and BC mixes, they often partner with other rescues and refer people to them. I'm very proud to be associated with this wonderful group of people.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

implement more structure. The network of fosters and volunteers is large and and can be cumbersome, purely as a function of rapid growth.
