Foundation Beyond Belief is a unique organization that takes humanism to the next level. The staff truly care about the mission and operate this organization with part-time hours at a full-time professional level. Kudos to all the staff and members who are working to change the world, one step at a time. Since there is no god out there to take care of us, FBB staff and members are taking care of others. Thank you!

I write as a representative and volunteer of a Humanist nonprofit organization that interacts with Foundation Beyond Belief (FBB). We have had nothing but positive experiences and the things FBB does on a regular basis helps encourage our own membership to carry out activities and events that forward humanism in our own community. We regularly report our events and receive perks that help keep our membership feeling engaged and rewarded. The staff goes out of its way to display photos from local groups, to promote relevant events for the nonreligious and is willing to work with relevant allied groups and organizations. The FBB has our thanks and appreciation.

I absolutely love the work of Foundation Beyond Belief since they take the ideas espoused in humanist philosophy (compassion, human accountability, social responsibility) and apply them as praxis.

From their disaster recovery to their community volunteering and charitable fundraising,
FBB's work is an important and model representation of what humanism is all about: doing good merely for goodness sake!

For more than a year, I have been concerned that FBB has diverged from its original mission to "demonstrate humanism at its best by supporting efforts to improve this world and this life, and to challenge humanists to embody the highest principles of humanism, including mutual care and responsibility." Instead, FBB has turned into a faddish "social justice" organization. The selection of charitable organizations has reflected this transition and has since been confirmed by a recent FBB email and survey:

"One of the areas where FBB seeks to emphasize the importance of humanist action in 2017 is social justice....

In 2017, we hope to see Beyond Belief Network teams and humanists everywhere standing up for racial equality."

I stopped donating some time ago because the charitable selections were based upon gender (exclusively targeting women/girls), sexuality (LGBT, trans-gendered), faddish non-humanist causes (Lakota language preservation) and other ephemeral "social justice" causes. Instead of focusing on human suffering (suicide prevention, drug overdose epidemic, etc) "social justice" charitable organizations now dominate the FBB grant awardees. My conclusion remains correct now that FBB has confirmed it is a "social justice" political organization.

My advice to anyone donating to FBB is to review the listed charities and recognize the diversion from the original mission and purpose. Chose your own charities and donate to them directly instead.

I worked for Foundation Beyond Belief for the first five years and have been thrilled watching it grow and thrive since then. Their transparency and accountability is first rate, as is their compassionate vision as an organization. I have never seen a staff more dedicated or a community better served. FBB makes me proud to be a humanist.

I've supported and worked with Foundation Beyond Belief since its inception. The board and staff are laser-focused on the vision of a world in which the humanist community is united in charitable and compassionate work. The initiatives and programs of FBB are precisely what I would want to see in any similar organization; that it also demonstrates strong humanist leadership is a much-appreciated benefit.

Before I discovered FBB I had wished an organization like FBB existed. FBB works tirelessly to put humanist values into action giving humanists, and others who support the ideals, an avenue to donate their time, money, and expertise toward making the world a more equal and just place. FBB has high standards for support seeking out organizations and people to support based on evidence based work and compassion. I have confidence that my donations are being used effectively and in the spirit of humanism.

FBB offers humanists the ability to help others through volunteerism and/or charitable giving in a way consistent with humanist values. I am proud to be associated with this great organization that is helping causes as varied as accused witches in Ghana, native language initiatives in the US, fundraising for disaster recovery in the US and abroad, LGBT groups such as Audre Lorde Project and Transgender Law Center, and many others. Due to their careful and thorough vetting process, I am confident my donations are being used wisely. HIghly recommended.

Foundation Beyond Belief is a wonderful charity and definitely one worth your hard-earned dollars.

I personally know the staff of this organization. They are highly dedicated to the organization's mission and work tirelessly to push that mission forward.

FBB has a few different programs. One of my favorites is the Humanist Service Corps, currently working to improve and save lives in Ghana. The Humanist Giving program provides grants to different highly vetted charity beneficiaries every quarter, providing a valuable avenue for humanists and other non-religious donors to donate money regularly to a variety of worthwhile charities.

If you aren't up for donating money, FBB provides a number of ways to volunteer. I won't go into more detail, but suffice it to say that there will be a way to donate or volunteer that matches what you can give of your money or time.

I personally donate on a monthly basis to both Humanist Service Corps and Humanist Giving. When FBB runs a Humanist Disaster Recover Drive, I donate to that, too.

I have been a volunteer, but was a donor before that and continue to be. Foundation Beyond Belief is the gold standard for how a smaller non-profit should be run. The staff is deeply committed to making sure every dollar donated does the most good it can possibly do. They spend a great deal of time vetting beneficiaries and researching new opportunities. They believe in evidence-based philanthropy, not just throwing money around.

I am a long-time monthly donor to Foundation Beyond Belief's Humanist Giving program and now, more recently, also a monthly donor to their Humanist Service Corps. I appreciate the range of beneficiaries that FBB offers and the fact that at any time I can change the amount that I give to a particular charity. While I am very concerned about the world around me, to be honest, I don't have the time to vet charities so the fact that FBB does extensive vetting is very important to me.

After giving to the Humanist Giving program for a number of years, I because interested in the work that Foundation Beyond Belief itself is doing in Ghana. I now give a separate monthly amount to their Humanist Service Service Corps who work with women who have been banished from their villages due to accusations of witchcraft. I like that I can see almost daily updates on their social media accounts and that the organization is transparent about its fundraising. I feel like the money I give here is doing a great deal of good for the purpose I intend it for, not lining the pockets of a fancy CEO.

I would highly recommend Foundation Beyond Belief to anyone looking to make a change in the world with a fiscally responsible charity.

I love their mission and that they're happy to take small donations as well as larger ones, and that you have some control over the percentages on who gets what. While they've had some issues with their website, they've been *incredibly* responsive to the issues and working on helping as much as they can, more than any other site or organization I've dealt with, an honest pleasure, actually. I think this is an organization that will be able to make a difference in people's lives.

This organization is amazing because it provides a focusing point for many people to give and many organizations to receive. Foundation Beyond Belief (FBB) simultaneously supports charities dealing with human rights, education, poverty & health, the natural world, and non-proselytizing religious charities. All at the same time! Sure, you could independently donate to each of the organizations they support, but FBB is so much better because it brings people together with a common cause for good. In addition, the group can find and research potential beneficiaries more efficiently than you could do on your own. Best of all, the charities they support are non-proselytizing. Meaning they are doing good for the sake of good, not to convert people of different beliefs!

I have been thrilled with the growth and outreach Foundation Beyond Belief has been able to make in its first year and the impact and donations that are given in grants to important organizations due to this.

I happily donate $20 a month for this endeavor.
