Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
We adopted a puppy, Chip (renamed Roscoe), from Operation Paws for Homes in September 2012. We actually know the lady who was Roscoe's foster mom, and she fostered Roscoe's pregnant mother and subsequently the litter of pups. The foster mom was our primary contact with OPH, and she provided us with any and all information and support we needed in the adoption process, but we must say that we are impressed with the amount of information OPH provides on its website, as well. The foster mom stayed in contact with us to ensure that everything was going smoothly with Roscoe's adoption. Roscoe has been such a wonderful addition to our family; you couldn't find a better dog companion. We are so thankful that OPH exists and works so hard to fulfill its mission. Now, for the clincher to this story...not only was Roscoe's mother pregnant when she was rescued, she was heartworm positive; not only did OPH let Oreo have her puppies and find good homes for all of them, but OPH also treated Oreo's condition once the puppies were weaned and found Oreo a good home. In the business of rescue, OPH goes above and beyond! Thank you, OPH; our lives would not be the same without our sweet Roscoe.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Honestly, I can't think of anything I would do to change OPH. I was raised with the idea that if isn't broken, you don't fix it! I only wish they had more money to be able to do even more.
