Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
I adopted Jack Frost (renamed: Samson) about a month ago through Operation Paws for Homes. I found out about them through an ad I saw on CraigsList. I started researching the organization and their website was excellent. It answered all of my questions before I ever talked to someone- which is great! I filled out an application and within the day OPH was calling my references- they really do move fast on dogs to try and adopt out as many as possible. I had my eye on several dogs, but the one that happened to work out was Jack Frost (a 2 year old, white, Great Pyrenees). I was quickly put in contact with the foster mom taking care of Jack Frost. We picked a time to meet at her house and that same day I drove home with my new dog and all of his paperwork. It was simple, painless and I'm so happy to have this addition to my life. Samson is adjusted now and getting used to his new life. OPH and the foster mom have contacted me several times over the last month since adopting Samson just to check up and make sure everything is working out. I think that is the key to their success and why people continue to rave about this organization- they are efficient and truly do care about the lives of the pets they adopt out and the families the dogs go to long after they are taken off the website. I couldn't ask for a more thoughtful group of committed people to adopt my first dog through. I'm very happy with my experience with OPH and would recommend them to anyone.
