Review for TEXAS WESTERN MODEL RAILROAD CLUB, Forest Hill, TX, USA
The Texas Western became my club and layout after building and disassembling four model train layouts at home over the years. I missed camaraderie and knowledge you gained in a club. I searched the DFW area and found the Texas Western. That was nine years ago, and I still find fun and enjoyment at the club. The club has classes that teach everything from the basics of model railroading to the best way to simulate a miniature transportation system. With everything from railran trips to movie night socials, this club has it all.
The quality of the layout and model construction is what initially led me to the Texas Western. The museum quality of scenes and faithfulness to prototype operations keeps me a devotee of the Texas Western.
Had I know about the club, I would never have built a layout at home.
