Review for Pet Assistance, Inc., New Preston, CT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

(A public thank you to Ruth at Pet Assistance Inc)

Ruth, I can not thank you and Pet Assistance Inc enough. It was an incredibly stressful time, finding out that a very special doggie needed surgery and trying to make it possible. I can not thank you enough for your warmth, your resources, and your generosity. Your contribution went a long way towards making her surgery possible. She had surgery Tuesday evening, was allowed to come home Wednesday evening, has a lot of post-surgical healing to do, but is definitely enjoying being home and having her special post-surgical meals. Without your help, I don't know if it would have been possible. Thank you very very much.

Review for Shakespeare Animal Fund, Reno, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

(A public thank you to Marlow at Shakespeare Animal Fund)

Marlow, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I know that you felt that your contribution to a very special doggie's surgery wouldn't make much of a difference, but it did. Every bit added up to reach the goal and help her get what she needed. She had the surgery Tuesday evening and was able to come home a day later. She's got a lot of healing to do, but loves her post-surgery special diet. If not for people and agencies like yours, this would not have been possible. Many, many thanks.

Review for Acme Foundation, Cobb, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

(A public thank you to Patricia and ACME)

Patricia, I can not thank you and ACME enough for your generous contribution toward a very special doggie's surgery. She had the surgery Tuesday night, was allowed to go home Wednesday evening, and is now enjoying her post-surgery special meals. I wanted to let you know that in all of my fund-raising efforts, the vast majority had either already ran out of funding or would only fund animals in their area. As you know, we live in a very rural, often economically challenged area. You are the only local agency I came across. I can not thank you enough for not only existing, but for having funding available and for giving so generously. A very special doggie and I thank you for making her surgery possible.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Being in a rural area, I just hope they continue to exist and continue to have funding for those who need it. I can not thank them enough.

Review for RedRover, Sacramento, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I can not thank Laurel and Red Rover enough. A former foster, current service dog in training was in need of emergency surgery. Over $500 had already be spent on diagnostics. There was no way the $1056-$1791 surgery was going to be possible. The veterinary clinic told me that no one had ever put as much effort into trying to raise funds as I. Although there are countless agencies (thankfully) out there for these purposes, most have either already exhausted their funding, or only allocate to people in their specific areas. Living in an economically challenged rural area put the poor doggie at a tremendous disadvantage. That is until I contacted Laurel from Red Rover. She was very warm and understanding. Even though she couldn't fund the entire surgery, she gave generously and directed me toward even more resources. I truly believe that it was her initial contribution that made other agencies feel that their subsequent contributions could actually help meet the target goal. Location specific agencies even made exceptions. As a result, a precious dog got her surgery and is on her way to healing. Laurel, being the incredible person she is, has continued to follow up to see how she's doing. I can not thank Laurel, Red Rover, and the other agencies enough.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would make none to this organization. They responded promptly, warmly, and generously. Ideally, it would be nice for a single organization to provide all unmet funds for emergency procedures, saving stressed-out caregivers tremendous time and angst, and animals unnecessary discomfort. But given financial realities, it is absolutely incredible what RedRover and subsequent agencies were able to do. I can not thank them enough! To any potential donors out there, RedRover is extremely worthy.
