Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
This is a wonderful organization. I found out about it through my friend, that adopted a dog through OPH. I was a reference for her during her adoption process and spoke to the volunteer about possibilities for myself. I started the adoption process and within a week I was approved. We found Cricket online and fell in love with pictures but it wasn't until we met her at her foster mothers home that we knew she would be coming home with us. Her foster mom was able to answer questions about appetite, being in a crate, natural behavior, etc. It really helped to be able to ask questions and figure out what Cricket was good at, and what she may need help with (of course realizing there would be an adjustment period). Cheryl was helpful throughout the process, answering any questions I had, and sending me information on introducing a dog to a home with a cat, which is something I was worried about. Everything has gone smoothly and we got really lucky with our pup.
