Hard to choose a category, as I am a client, a donor and someone who has done rescue on their own for many years, although not a non profit.
There are many non profit groups out there now trying to help animals in need (which is a good thing)! But not many would compare to HAL! Their dedication, devotion and true love for the animals they save goes far beyond the call of duty.
I had the pleasure of adopting two kitties through them. Everyone was easy to communicate with, supportive and even arranged for transportation! I had my kitties within the week.
I have offered to adopt several cats that I had seen posted on Facebook before, and I am not sure if these rescue groups just cross post, or have their own network of people to foster and adopt, but each time I tried, I was unsuccessful.
Keep up the great work HAL, and never stop believing! You do the impossible and save the unwanted and unloved!
