Review for Abode, Fremont, CA, USA

Abode Services not only helps homeless people, it helps prevent them from becoming homeless ever again. Unlike organizations that provide emergency shelter only, Abode is in it to stablilze participants' living situation for the long term. It treats people with respect and professionalism.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing the dramatic relief of stress for parents and children who no longer have to worry about where to find a place to sleep each night.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

devoted people who pour their heart and soul into their work. Equally important, Abode is well managed. They are artists at stretching a dollar and getting bang for the buck.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

fund an endowment to even out the peaks and valleys of an uncertain economy. Abode could help even more people through their darkest hours.
