My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Gila Herd Foundation Of Arizona, Payson, AZ, USA
This wonderful organization rescued several horses at risk of starvation from my state of South Dakota. A few of the horses in the herd at ISPMB had already perished due to lack of food & vet care.
The Gila Herd Foundation personnel traveled across states, through blizzards to rescue these horses, who now thrive in Arizona.
Review for Fleet Of Angels, Lakewood, CO, USA
I've been familiar with Fleet of Angels for a few years. A couple years ago, I learned a whole lot more.
A horse 'sanctuary' in my home state of South Dakota was found to have been neglecting their Mustangs. Most were low body scores, many had hooves that looked like skis, most were at risk of starvation, several were found deceased.
The counties in which the sanctuary was located seized the horses, which were destined for the sale barn. That's when Fleet of Angels stepped in.
Elaine Nash, FoA founder, and a few hardy volunteers spent months (that included blizzards, -50° windchills & 20' high snow drifts) sorting & shipping horses.
This was done the right way- each horse was microchipped, Coggins tested, & was issued a veterinarian travel certificate.
In less than 2 years, 907 horses were rescued & had been adopted. This was the largest equine rescue In the history of the US.
Review for The Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary, HARTVILLE, WY, USA
I transport rescue animals throughout the Midwest. I had the opportunity during a transport to visit Kindness Ranch last year. I was amazed at what I witnessed. Every volunteer showed so much kindness & compassion to the animals!
I loved Kindness Ranch so much, I'm making a detour after a transport next week to visit again!
I'm attaching a link to an album I created last year during my stay- please take a look!
