Review for ShoreLake Arts, Shoreline, WA, USA
I love being involved with the Arts Council. They bring so many different kinds of arts to so many people in the community they serve. When I was young, the arts weren't something that were valued. It's so great to see the many inter-generational activities the Arts Council sponsors. The Edible Books Fair last spring was the first time I ever tried doing something "artistic" and it was so much fun. I love seeing how the arts seem to touch the kids and they just beam because they get to be involved. It warms my heart to see mom's or dad's dancing with their young children at the free Concerts in the Park in the summer. Through sponsoring artists in the classrooms in the Shoreline Schools, children get to experience creating with a professional - something that many would not be able to experience without the Arts Council. It's a small community organization but they do so many things in the community.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
figure out a way to let more people in the community know about the Arts Council. There are so many things they do that people don't even realize. They're celebrating their 25th year in 2014 and I'm so proud of this organization where I started out as a volunteer so many years ago.
