Review for Austin Peace Academy, Austin, TX, USA
I learned about APA from a member of our local church who has a friend who works at APA's High School division. She spoke glowingly of the students and staff at the school. As this is primarily an Islamic school I had initial reservations (read: ungrounded/silly stereotypical fears) as to whether or not non-Muslims can/should enroll thier children at APA.
After hearing so many great things about the school I took it upon myself to satisfy my curiosity and to quell any anxiety that my husband and I had in thinking that we were potentially missing out on an incredible educational experience for our children.
We visited and toured the APA campus and observed several classes; I left APA with a strongly positive impression of the school and regretful that I did not visit earlier to enroll my children at the school!
Due to the beautiful APA school spirit, interesting and engaging programs and routines, creative teaching staff, and polite students my husband and I are looking to enroll our children at APA if not by next semester then certainly by next year!
This school actively pursues the notion of a world community united by humanity and peace regardless of faith or creed...it certainly lives up to its moniker: The Austin "Peace" Academy indeed! =)
