The time I have spent teaching at APA, as well as the growth I have witnessed of my child who is a student at APA has opened my eyes to the opportunities this school provides its students. Students at APA are always being challenged to ensure they achieve their full potential. Whether this is through activity-based learning where 100% effort is expected, through multiple leadership positions available to them, or through various extra-curricular activities, students are always encouraged to go above and beyond. Another impressive aspect of APA is the large investment the school makes in the continuing education and development of its educators and faculty. The always growing knowledge and experience level of the teachers is instrumental for ensuring every student within our very diverse student population is getting the personalized approach they need to be successful. While APA has made unbelievable progress since its first class twenty years ago, the coming years will undoubtedly be even brighter and more impressive.
Austin Peace Academy is a unique school with a welcoming and diverse school culture, dedicated teachers, and respectful students.
I have worked with Austin Peace Academy over the years and have seen tremendous growth both academically and professionally. I am very comfortable recommending APA to parents that want their children to have the opportunity to find genuine experiences that will be a platform in their self development.
This school is warm and nurturing. Your child will be given attention as an individual person and opportunities to succeed on his or her own terms. The teachers and administrators in the middle school are straight forward and accessible. It is a very small school with a family feel. The students are active and positive group. I am lucky to get the opportunity to volunteer in this school. I love to see the kids mature and become great leaders in their community.
I am a new parent. I feel blessed to have found this school for my son. He was in a public school for five years. During that time the concern was more on test scores instead of the student. At Austin Peace Academy the student is important. The principal and all of the staff are wonderful. The curriculum is great and the students achieve because they are not stressed. They also develop his social emotional skills and empathy that this world seems to lack. My son has excelled at this school. I would recommend this schools to anyone!!
A wonderful experience for my son! Extremely organized team that makes it easy to volunteer! An amazing administration. Great mission.
A long time community supporter. I admire the great work they do in educating the students at Austin Peace Academy. Some of these students are active in the community creating a once a year for refugee.
Austin Peace Academy is a great and diverse school, which supports and educates students to succeed in real life. I admire and appreciate the teachers and administration for their dedication and service to the community. They engage and involve students in different activities and retreats which builds self-confidence and emphasizes Muslim American character. My children have found it to be a warm and caring environment.
I have had positive experiences with the school. My daughter attended the school for 7 years, and has since graduated. I felt she was well prepared for her next step, college. I recommend APA for your child.
I had volunteered at Austin Peace Academy during Science Fair. Their students are outstanding in their presentation skills. I am amazed at the amount of work the staff commits to preparing the student. They truly care about their students. This is witness in the student work.
Its heart warming to see our donation at work. The school helps needy students that are
motivated and need the opportunity to succeed . The students graduate from high school and move on to first tier University . Not all schools are able to prepare the students for college
work but I have witness first hand that Austin Peace Academy is able to do a phenomenal job.
Having been affiliated with Austin Peace Academy for quite some time, I can say that it has come a long way. There have been many improvements over time, and they are still necessarily being made. APA became an accredited school within a reasonable period due to the diligence of all concerned parties. There was, and still is, a burning desire to see the school flourish in a way that better serves the community at large. At its helm are administrators who have demonstrated time and again, a broad vision for what APA should offer each and every student who attends. They have plotted a course for the success of its graduates that has instilled the confidence needed to meet most challenges that they'll face later on in life. Highly qualified and dedicated teachers are all on board with the same aim - student success. Students further benefit from, not only concerned teachers and staff, but from a reassuring environment in which to work and safely express themselves. They are encouraged to be creative in all disciplines, including Art; to be critical or abstract thinkers in classes like Math and Debate; to be decision makers as they make conscientious choices about how best to interact and compete with each other, and all others, as they engage in both intra-curricular and extracurricular events; and to connect those conscientious choices to the greater, more lasting goal of the hereafter. To date, I've witnessed several graduations, including those of two of my children. It's simply amazing to see what a good educational foundation has done for each child. They came away with the skills necessary to succeed at the next level. If asked if I'd send my kids to Austin Peace Academy if I had it to do again, I'd say 'Most definitely'.

If you are looking for an Islamic School truly dedicated to provide your children the best of education than this is the school for you. It has met my highest expectations by creating a learning climate both within and outside of school. It is a fascinating organization that involves the children in community activities in order to grow, accept and appreciate the uniqueness of all individuals. Their curriculum continues to strengthen over the years and provide social-emotional learning necessary for all ages. Austin Peace Academy is a great school that prepares its students with the necessary tools and skills needed in order to cope real-time situations they enter college and the work force.
Austin Peace Academy quickly became a second home to our family when we moved to Austin four years ago. The staff, students, and other families genuinely care about the well-being of our boys, ages 8 & 6. Whether our concerns are academic, social, or religious, I can count on the Austin Peace Academy family to be there with great advice and support as we seek to raise strong leaders and bright thinkers.
I have been a parent at Austin Peace Academy for 12 years. We moved from California in pursuit of a better life for our family including an education in which our children would thrive and would help facilitate a growth and expansion of their faith by allowing them to safe and identify themselves with Muslims alike. Also provide our children with a remarkable education that readied them for the outside world. AustinPeace Academy provided for, and exceeded our expectations. A great example of that can be seen with their history/ social studies program. The history books the school uses defy the status quo in some way. Our books speak to and identify the truths found in this country in relation to the plight of the native Americans, slavery, segregation that exists to this day in the U.S. Also the Islamic Education program uses modern day teaching methods. There is a unique "Bayinnah program" used in the lower grades. We have teachers with life experiences and an education from presitgious universities from around the world teaching Islamic studies and the Quran. The students are able to get intelligent answers that help pursue their craving for knowledge and curiosity. Do give this school a chance, you as a parent have the power to bring even more change to an already great school.

My two kids both started in Austin Peace Academy and my daughter is a junior now. I have seen this school grow and raise the bar for itself every year. The success of its teaching comes from the freedom the teachers enjoy to develop their annual timetable and pace themselves and the complete support the principal and academic advisor offer the school staff.
The caviar is the religious practices that are spread throughout the day that help children learn how to integrate religion with daily life. I love this school and give it 5 stars
I support Austin Peace Academy because its community works hard to raise funds to educate students from diverse racial and socio-economic backgrounds, including refugee children from Iraq and Sudan. Students from preschool all the way through 12th grade receive a holistic educational experiences that encompasses academics, spirituality, citizenship and community service.
APA enables Muslim kids to grow up in an environment where they can learn about and enjoy the beauty of their religion. The students who graduate from Austin Peace Academy are exemplary community members, hard workers, and knowledgeable Muslims. Their fondness for the school is a testament to its excellence. I continue to give to APA because I know they are raising a generation of American Muslims that will have a positive impact on the world.
Austin Peace Academy is a phenomenal institution! Not only does it promote and encourage a unifying diverse environment but it instills morals in them that will allow them to be successful in their futures. From what I observed the children have grown to love each other like brothers and sisters, their chemistry is truly genuine. And above all the staff is very dedicated to making sure the children are getting the best education possible. Wonderful school!
This school has an amazing administartion that caters to low income kids and refugee who feel that this is their home. Teachers go out of their way to prepare the students for college. I am very happy with the product that comes out of this school.
Our child enjoys going to school because his teacher makes learning fun and she knows how to challenge every student. The school has a “real” physical education program where the students learn eye hand coordination, gross motor skills, and how to be good winners and losers. Even in the elementary school I feel like my child is learning real leadership skills. My child is also learning how important it is to be a good “follower” as well as a leader. We love APA.
APA is in great hands. The Principal, Diana and the Director of Academic Affairs, Alex are experienced educators who have created an exciting curriculum along with a well mannered student body. The teachers take a personal interest in every child in their classes. APA is like family for us. We enjoy the social gatherings hosted by the school and we get to meet all of the parents of children in the school. We couldn’t be happier with APA!
I learned about APA from a member of our local church who has a friend who works at APA's High School division. She spoke glowingly of the students and staff at the school. As this is primarily an Islamic school I had initial reservations (read: ungrounded/silly stereotypical fears) as to whether or not non-Muslims can/should enroll thier children at APA.
After hearing so many great things about the school I took it upon myself to satisfy my curiosity and to quell any anxiety that my husband and I had in thinking that we were potentially missing out on an incredible educational experience for our children.
We visited and toured the APA campus and observed several classes; I left APA with a strongly positive impression of the school and regretful that I did not visit earlier to enroll my children at the school!
Due to the beautiful APA school spirit, interesting and engaging programs and routines, creative teaching staff, and polite students my husband and I are looking to enroll our children at APA if not by next semester then certainly by next year!
This school actively pursues the notion of a world community united by humanity and peace regardless of faith or creed...it certainly lives up to its moniker: The Austin "Peace" Academy indeed! =)
A committed administration, quality teachers, and amazing students make this a great school to attend. Students get the opportunity to interact with peers of all age-groups and learn in a tight-knit community.
Austin Peace Academy has students that would make any parent proud. Whether they are at Speech and Debate tournaments, basketball games, or performing community service the students are friendly, well behaved and courteous. The success the students achieve is amazing but even when they don't finish first, they are gracious and friendly to their opponents.
I attended the annual Marathon Kids event here in Austin,TX several weeks ago and left incredibly impressed with APA students. In the searing heat I witnessed them handing out water bottles and helping students from other schools with the "kickstart lap" around the track. Everyone in attendance saw them cheer on other students and were clearly proud to be a part of APA. Many APA students and parents were in attendance and they had brought a hugely impressive banner which they proudly held as they in unison ran around the track with thousands of us cheering them on!
Clearly the school has a remarkable culture and great spirit...I am definitely interested in visiting the school and may in fact transfer my own kids to APA in the near future; I was that impressed!
