HEP is an organization that is dedicated to ending homelessness for every man woman and child who come to our door. Over the past 25 years we have developed partnerships with 25 other agencies to bring whatever resources are required to correct the you cause of a person's or family's situation. whther it be physical or mental illness, loss of a job, drug or alcohol addiction, post traumatic stress disorder, or a combination of these hep has the resources and dedicated staff and the resolve to make a difference. Serving upwards of 2000 people each year using a combination of public and private support we are the largest agency of our type in Pinellas County. And we are a four star navigator rated charity for fiscal performance. How good are we? over 70% of our residents transition to permanent housing!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
getting to know the families and individuals and watching them transition from hoplessness to hope, from self despair to self esteem
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
expand our capacity and seek ways to make us more effective in delivering necessary services
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
being in an environment of caring and giving to the very people that too many have lost interest in.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
phenomenal The staff are not paid a lot and they are asked to deal with the most difficult of circumstances and often make very tough life changing decisions. The volunteers are equally amazing contributing to the welfare of strangers
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand from 300 beds to 500 beds; build additional permenent supportive housing..accomdate more families ( we have over 40 children in our program) and substantially reduce our homeless population
Ways to make it better...
always if we simpoly had more resources. we have to turn away too many families and veterans because we are always full
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
MONEY and increasing demand; the rapidly swelling veteran population needing intense services to transition successfully into society
One thing I'd also say is that...
Thankyou to God because all accomplish comes from our faith in HIM
