As a long-time volunteer with Animal Place, they've come to feel more like family than an organization. That includes the humans and non-humans alike! Although I've helped with all kinds of events, such as tabling for vegfests, helping out with the Brave the Cage campaign, screening potential adopters, cleaning barns, taking photos, going on rescues, transportation and more...I most love doing animal care giving and socializing. I've learned so much from Jan, the manager of their Rescue Ranch location, including doing health checks on hens, goats and sheep, and helping out with sick hens. The animals at Animal Place are in good care and very loved. They vegan outreach and education of farmed animals at Animal Place is unmatched! A beautiful community has been built around Animal Place that I'm very happy to be a part of.

I both volunteer at and donate to Animal Place. They are very consistent in their purpose and messaging and the actual hands-on work they do is so important. They save lives daily and advocate for a plant-based world so that perhaps, in the future, they won't have so many farm animals that they have to rescue.
