Review for Animal Place, Grass Valley, CA, USA
I LOVE Animal Place. I cannot tell you how much I love mucking the chicken and turkey house, truly, I really love it. I, of course have always loved animals and I am a vegan, but I have never had the chance to work with farm animals. One night, on my nightly car ride with my 5 dogs, I drove past Animal Place. I went home and Googled it and called the next day for a tour. After the tour, I signed up as a volunteer. I love the physical work, being in the fresh air and mostly creating a life for these wonderful animals wherein they can live, lay in the sun, be around others like them and have a heck of a good life.
Oh, let me not forget to mention the people. It is so nice being around other like-minded and extremely hard working people...the people there are just as good as the animals!!!
Anyone out there looking for a volunteer experience that allows you to work with these wonderful farm animals should sign up at Animal Place.......it has brought so much joy to my life.
