My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Food Allergy Research & Education Inc, McLean, VA, USA
I am not only a registered dietitian who see patients with food allergies, but I am also a mom with a 2yr old daughter who has a peanut, tree nut and egg allergy. She was diagnosed a year ago and everyone told me if anyone was prepared to deal with this it would be me knowing my background in nutrition. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as everyone thinks. There is a feeling of loneliness and helplessness that goes along with this at times. Funny enough one of my patients told me about FARE and the first time I went to the site I felt a sense of relief. I now knew of a community that was dealing with the same thing my family was dealing with. The updates I receive about possible undeclared allergens are a lifesaver and learning about all the research being done to find a cure is amazing. I now have a place to go to help my daughter and my patients. I feel so fortunate to have found FARE.
