Paws For Life Rescue is one of the most caring and compassionate groups I have ever encountered. Their dedication to the welfare of animals is phenomenal! I currently have four fur babies that I adopted or am fostering from this group. My boy Sully was found running the streets of Detroit and literally jumped in the rescuer’s car as soon as she opened her door. After the required stray hold and medical treatment, this loving boy became mine! Ten years later, he’s going strong and is the head of the household of younger dogs and cats.
JoJo was a kitten born from a stray pregnant cat taken in by PFL. She’s a healthy and happy girl ruling over all that comes within her reach.
Paws for Life never abandons those who were in their care. I am currently fostering two kitties whose owner passed away. No family member could take them, so PFL stepped up rather than have them go to a shelter. All medical expenses are covered by PFL so these two will never be allowed to languish from any ailment. All fosters are volunteers and every cent raised goes directly for animal care. I am so proud of the dedication of this organization and my small part of it!

I have adopted several of my fur babies over the years from this wonderful and compassionate group. They go above and beyond to make sure that your adoption is a good fit for the entire family. My Sully was rescued literally from the streets of Detroit. He came to me confused and unsure of what a loving home could be. With guidance and encouragement from PFL, he has become the most loving member of my household. Now, nine years later, he welcomes all newcomers with open paws. Thank you Paws For Life for this marvelous guy in my life!

I have been both an adopter and a volunteer with Paws For Life. It has been a wonderful experience from both sides to work with such an enthusiastic and dedicated group of people! This totally non profit, strictly volunteer organization has helped save over 3,000 animals in the past ten years. Their dedication to our four legged friends is truly hearteningly to witness. May they continue to grow and help even more in the years to come!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this group! Two of my dogs come from Paws For Life. Both were housed in wonderful and compassionate foster homes prior to coming to me. I was given a lot of help and could count on them for expert advice when needed. I would adopt from them again with no qualms!

Both of my dogs and a cat were adopted from Paws For Life. This wonderful group is so supportive of the animals in their care and considerate of the adopters. They made sure that my dogs were a proper "fit" for my household, and that we had time to bond with each other. If I had any questions, someone got back to me immediately. No one, from the executive director on down, receives any monetary compensation for their time or work. This dedicated group lives up to their mission statement of finding each animal in their care a forever home. I can't praise them enough for all they do!

I have been involved with Paws For Life for seven years now, first as an adopter, now as a volunteer. The compassionon and committment that this group shows for animals is phenominal. This is a group that has repeatedly gone beyond the norm to help our furry friends find forever homes, including receiving necessary medical treatment for some horrific conditions. I can't emphasize enough the determination and tenacity that Paws For Life shows for helping to change existing legislation that will benefit all of our animals. I plan on continuing my association with Paws For Life for many years to come!
