Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
My family have been supporters of the Wild Animal Sanctuary for years - ever since reading about the amazing work they do. The tour comes with a beautiful, full color book that describes each of the areas you're seeing and briefly tells the story of each animal. Seeing the bears and the tigers enjoy their waterfalls and pools, the lions, foxes and wolves napping in the shade in their habitats, is such a thrilling and heartwarming experience. The Sanctuary's unique elevated walkway is based on research showing animals don't feel threatened by human activity above them. The Welcome Center is a great experience all on its own with its short, award-winning orientation film, its restaurant, ice cream and gift shops. Volunteers stationed along the walkway are friendly and knowledgable and can tell you more about the habitats you're observing. The education center near the tiger roundhouse plays videos of the Sanctuary's astonishing rescues and segments that Animal Planet has done on these animals. We were just there Wednesday (8/4) and it was a wonderful day, as it always is.
Review for Global Sanctuary For Elephants, Brentwood, TN, USA
I've followed the Global Sanctuary for Elephants for several years and have been deeply impressed by their work. Their tireless care and nurturance of elephants who have spent many decades in neglectful and often abusive situations offers these animals a life of sanctuary, a chance to know that humans truly can respect and care for them. GSE's devotion to providing the highest quality of care possible, combined with the most thoughtful handling of the elephants and their personalities, is exemplary. I wish every elephant in captivity had the chance to live such a healthy and stress-free life
Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
Year after year, the Wild Animal Sanctuary continues to rescue animals worldwide in situations of neglect and abuse, bringing them to Colorado for lives of freedom and dignity. Recently they added a far larger plot of land to house the increasing numbers of animals needing rescue. We encourage everyone to read their quarterly newsletters to understand the level of dedication the Sanctuary demonstrates year after year. We've supported TWAS for over a decade and are honored to be part of this work.

The work of this center warms my heart daily through its efforts to provide nourishing natural habitat for wild animals of every kind. This is the life these animals were born to lead, and the center models humanity restoring animals' ability to flourish. I am proud to be a donor and supporter!
