Review for Leave No Paws Behind, Inc, West Covina, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Leave NoPaws Behind rescues older and sick pups who have been dumped at shelters, left to dies often by the only humans they ever loved. Sick, suffering, and afraid this rescue swoops in in the final moments before the pup is PTS . The first stop is the vet, care is provided, treatment plan put in place, temp fosters found , and finally long term fosters. LNPB retains rights over the pups so that they can continue to provide medical care and oversight. Sometimes the pups live for days and often much longer, they know their live matters. I was first captured by Evie , the bulldog and her little wheel device. She was not with us long, but she gave so much. She was left when she could not walk anymore and LNPB came and saved her. When her time came, Toby stayed with her and she knew how much her little life mattered and all those she affected by her story. I am on the East Coast, never met Toby Wisniski or any of the staff, or the vet, or fosters. I see the Facebook postings, the monthly statements, and 40,000+ Facebook friends that support this mission with what little we too can spare. A more worthy cause does not exist.

Review for OPIN, Stamford, CT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I met OPIN through a Facebook posting that was sent to me about a shelter who had rescued a pit bull whose body was covered in burns and whose two pups had died in the same fire. I read Lucy's story and fell in love and donated to the care for this wounded baby. They posted updates of Lucy's progress right up to her adoption by twin sisters who were vet techs who cared for Lucy. I continue to donate because it is clear they make a difference and they engage their donors, rare for a nonprofit. I continue to stay apprised of their recent works, and in fact donated again yesterday. I have never been their, but when I was verifying who they were the Executive Director took the time to speak with me on the phone and explain their mission. I only wish I lived in Connecticut and closer to their facility.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
