Review for International Association for Human Values, Washington, DC, USA
I have been involved with IAHV since 2001, and really impressed by the breadth of service and contribution it has made to communities all over the world. Whether it was for disaster relief and rehabilitation after the Gujrat, India earthquake in 2001 or Tsunami in 2004, the nimbleness and the efficiency with which IAHV mobilizes resources in serving those hard hit by these calamities is quite extraordinary.
IAHV continues to make huge long-term impact in local communities across all over the US through its YES for School programs (http://www.iahv.org/us-en/program/yes-for-schools/) and PRISON Smart programs (http://www.iahv.org/us-en/program/prison-smart/) with minimal overhead and administrative expenses, and in less than 5 years these programs have touched over 30,000 high school students, over 10,000 prison inmates. I will continue to be involved and support this non-profit organization for all the inspiring work it is currently doing!.
