Review for PCI Media Impact, Inc., New York, NY, USA
If you are concerned about the state of our world, you should search the PCI Media Website.
For almost 40 years this organization has worked with communities world-wide seeking ways to improve the lives of their people. Using the amazing power of story-telling, PCI provides clear visions of a healthy, safe and sustainable life and a path for making the changes needed to achieve it. Using a variety of media (TV, Radio, mobile phones ,internet) programs are co-created with members of the communities. As a board member, I am most proud of the fact that we leave them with the tools and skills to continue to thrive.

I was introduced to PCI Media over 15 years ago and have have continued to support their amazing work ever since. What attracted me to the organization is their commitment
to working with the communities they serve to develop solutions to local problems...there are no cookie cutter programs designed for "one size fits all"( as often happens in development work.) PCI's ability to work throughout the world in every culture is based on values of collaboration and respect. I am proud to have become the Board Chair of this organization whose impact continues to grow and truely makes a difference in the lives of over a billion people.

When I first heard about PCI Media I was intrigued and inspired by their mission but wondered if soap operas could really bring about social change. Several years ago, I was honored to become a board member, and have the opportunity to work closely with our outstanding staff. I have come to really understand the power of our work and see the impact we are making on the lives of millions throughout the world. Soap operas are only a part of a complex change process we use that enables people to change their lives. Not only are we changing the lives of the people who come in connect with our programs but also (and perhaps more importantly) we leave behind the skills for them to apply what they learn to solve new issues in their communities.
