Review for Patty's Parrot Palace, DeLand, FL, USA
With nothing to gain and everything to lose Trish and Tony Koile put the birds first and their needs second. Housing over 50 birds in their own home is admirable but the birds need more room to fly. Soon enough the flock will move on to greater heights where the birds will be relocated to a large property where they can experience their wild sides. Over 2 years of knowing this nutty family and I wouldn't trade a moment of it!
Review for Patty's Parrot Palace, DeLand, FL, USA
I've officially been at the Palace for over a year now and I must say I can't imagine life without this place. Trish and Tony are two of the most remarkable people I have ever met. They put the needs of their birds and volunteers before their own needs. If you need hours for whatever reason, Patty's Parrot Pallace is a perfect fit for you. I must say that if you do choose to volunteer here, be prepared to work hard. I've seen a number of people asked to leave due to laziness and lack of commitment. If you are willing to show up and work hard, soon enough volunteering here becomes more enjoyable than anything!

Review for Patty's Parrot Palace, DeLand, FL, USA
As an aspiring veterinarian, I sought out a charity that would help me gain some experience with animals and determine whether or not I was entering the right career path. Not only have I gained a better perspective on birds, but I also found a great place run by great people. Trish and Tony, the couple that run the charity, are two of the most selfless people you will ever meet. They have welcomed over 40 birds into their home and care for each bird better than most of us could care for one bird. However, two people simply cannot care for this number of birds without help. Personally, I feel like you get more out of donating any free time to volunteer. Of course donations are greatly appreciated as well. After 4 months at Patty's, I don't think I will ever stop going. Birds can have a big impact on your life, even if you're not a bird person.

Everything is perfect at the palace, but extra space for the ever growing amount of space would be helpful. Donations would certainly assist in helping with the spatial issues.
