As a teacher in an International Baccalaureate school I can honestly attest to the fact that my nine travel experiences with GEEO have not only opened and broadened my view and understanding of the world but that of my students as well. I frequently attend workshops, conferences, and participate in professional development programs, but nothing I do as an educator impacts my classroom as much as my educational sojourns with GEEO. There is a unique element involved in traveling with like-minded professionals who share a passion for learning and a passion for making global connections! Don’t think twice-just go!

I am the Social Studies chair for my school and I am passionate about teaching students to look outside their immediate community and become global citizens. My experiences with GEEO have been life changing and have enabled me to let my students learn about the world in a positive and familial way. Through pictures, artifacts, music, and literature I have been able to bring the world a little closer for my students. GEEO has been instrumental in this endeavor- I simply can't say enough positive things about this amazing organization!

I have done 5 trips with GEEO and each one has been extraordinary. It is a wonderful opportunity to travel with other teachers, to link with educators in different cultures, and has definitely made me a better teacher. I had never done a "tour" before- I preferred to do my own independent travel but this has completely changed my perspective. On a practical level the tours are fairly reasonable and all GEEO trips are tax deductible which is a huge bonus for those who receive a teacher's salary. Be transformed and go!

I just completed my fourth summer adventure with GEEO ( Peru, Tunisia, India/Nepal, and Galapagos) and every one of them has had a profound impact on my teaching. I teach history, geography, and global studies and so I feel like my students have been the real beneficiaries of my experiences. The affordability, professionalism, school experiences, and the opportunity to travel, learn, and share with like-minded professionals is unmatched in comparison with other professional experiences that I've participated in. If you haven't gone on a GEEO trip- GO NOW! It's life changing!
