I have had the pleasure of being associated with Knights of Heroes for 11 years. I have literally watched young boys grow into men and move into higher education or the work force. KOH provides much needed mentorship to boys and girls who have lost a Military parent in Iraq or Afghanistan. Surviving parents have seen incredible improvement immediately after and in the time between camp. I am a strong believer in KOHs methods and results. Rise Up!

I have volunteered with KOH for 10 years now. I have watched young boys who were hurting and lost grow into young men with direction and principles. This camp puts obstacles to be overcome in front of each camper and through this teaches them that life can be tackled one step at a time. The camp also pairs campers with men and women of character who truly care about each and every child. These "mentors" work through their example to instill the core values of KOH in each camper. No better Nonprofit out there for helping Gold Star Kids.

This is my 7th year supporting this great organization. I have had the pleasure of watching young men enter our program and find a sene of fulfilment and purpose as they step through our basic and "high adventure" programs. I have watched them build life long frenships with others in their same situation as well as with the mentors that serve. There is not a single paid possiton in this organization, every minute of work is done on a volunteer basis, the volunteers actualy spend their own money and use their personal leave time to participate in this grand endevor.
