Review for Troopathon, Sacramento, CA, USA
Move America Forward bills itself as a charity to raise money for care packages for US troops abroad. However the organization's "troopathon" project is mostly a promotional vehicle for a variety of right-wing celebrities. Fund-raising pitches are mixed in with heavily ideological and harsh critiques of allegedly left-wing and defeatist US foreign and security policies by the likes of Mark Levin and Sarah Palin.
One of the principal charitable activities of the groups involves sending Conservative semi-celebrities to visit with troops and to distribute gifts. At the time these are distributed the original source of the gifts are not very clear.
MAF is a effectively a political outreach organization using a charity model.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Probably close it and start over. Some of these "spokespeople" have overtly encouraged troops to disobey their chain of command on issues ranging from women's rights to the treatment of forieng nationals in US custody. Far too little is done for our troops and far to much of the energy in the organization is focused on promoting its celebrities.

We are thankful for anyone that helps us support the troops, no matter their political belief. We do have "celebrities" that support us but they use their reach to help promote the troops. Thank you for your comments and unwavering support for our military. I hope if you decide to send a care package you will consider us.
