Review for Lancaster Creative Reuse, Lancaster, PA, USA
Lancaster Creative Reuse is a fabulous spot for a creative person to browse and for an educator to find supplies.
It’s also a great place to take donations of any art/craft/office supplies no longer wanted or needed in your space.
If you have items “someone could make something out of” and you realize that someone will not be you, LCR is the place to donate them.
The staff is always friendly and the displays and inventory are changed often. There are sections for various arts and crafts, with a whole room of paper, stamping & office related supplies & a whole room of fabric, notions & sewing-related items.
I was an LCR customer first & spent so much time there that I was able to help other customers find stuff. That’s when I realized volunteering would be a great idea! Volunteer hours are flexible and the tasks vary as much as their inventory. Here is my blog post about it! http://artistsofallstripes.blogspot.com/2013/05/its-official-im-volunteering-at.html?m=1
Review for Art of Recycle®, Ephrata, PA, USA
My husband and I had a wonderful time painting during an evening of guided meditation-inspired painting. The cost was a donation and we brought our own small canvasses. Our fellow participants and all of the Art of Recycle folks were encouraging and friendly.
