I was amazed at how many new volunteers came to orientation my first day. It was proof to me that KSC's reputation as a dedicated and caring animal rescue organization. I was put to task right away (which I wanted) as a foster mom for 4 kittens until time to spay and for a little pregnant girl who is missing an eye and was due to be put down the day before at another shelter. A concerned person called KSC and they took her immediately. I have had the greatest feelings of gratitude and satisfaction to be able to support the KSC mission to adopt so many wonderful cats to equally wonderful people. There are easily 35 cats in one room together and they all are so friendly and well cared for. If you're like me and have lost your furry friends after 20 yrs of friendship, and you aren't ready to commit again to adoption, consider volunteering. I'm so glad I did. I"m really proud to be a member of the KSC team!
