Review for King Street Cats, Alexandria, VA, USA
As a volunteer, going to KSC and seeing 30+ cats in the same room all getting along with each other is amazing. Knowing that behind the scenes are dozens of dedicated volunteers who feed, clean, give medicines, plus those who make sure all the supplies are there, the ones who take the cats and kittens to the Veterinarian, all the foster parents who care for the sick, injured or momma's with babies and then the few who monitor the whole production. And then you look around at how sweet the kitties are, and when someone comes in to adopt and a cat will pick that person out....just last week, I saw a cat perch right next to the woman and just stared at her, as if to say "you are finally here for me"..... And then to see all the happy pictures of the cats in their new "fur-ever" homes..... this organization is a wonderful example of people caring about and doing something about a need in their community.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
More money so we wouldn't ever have to say no. A bigger facility....full-time staff to help with all the logistics, more advertisement that we exist and where we are. It would be great to offer education programs in local schools so children will learn to be good pet owners.....
