Review for Community of Hope, Inc., Washington, DC, USA
I began volunteering with Community of Hope on the Behavioral Health and Case Management team at the Marie Reed Center in September as part of a field internship placement through my school, and I am so glad I did! Community of Hope is a compassionate organization that provides housing, health care, and supportive services to under-served residents of the DC area. Each member of COH’s staff is personally dedicated to providing these services to clients in a respectful, empowering way.
I really like volunteering at Community of Hope because I know the work I do here makes a direct impact on our patients’ health and lives. I’ve loved my time here so far, especially since I have been able to take part in a wide range of experiences that have really allowed me to learn a lot about both my field of study, and about myself. Community of Hope is a growing organization, and is opening a new health care center in the fall. It’s an exciting time to be involved in this organization, and I would highly recommend volunteering for this Community of Hope!
