So I think my original email to Karen of D & R Rescue and Rocky's foster parent will tell you what a great organization this is and what care they give to their animal friends until they find a "Forever Home". I have no doubt that these people use a lot of out of pocket dollars to get these animals out of a shelter and a permanent home.

Good Morning Ladies-

I am a few days past sending this. We want you to cash that check... I just can't believe anyone would have abandoned this doggie. We have started calling him "Rocky" as he is fast like Rocky from the Bullwinkle cartoons, and he's a little squirelly too!! LOL!! He is just so smart. We were having a really hard time getting him to respond to the name Weldon- just wouldn't even turn his head. But we'd like to keep Weldon in his formal name.

He has not had one accident since that first little sprinkle. He's leaned to sit for a "cookie" (dog treat). He's learning to walk better on a standard leash. Just a super snuggly, wonderful puppy dog. Everyone absolutely LOVES him, and even our teenage boys are helping me out by walking him outside for a quick potty. He gets 2, 20-30 minute walks a day with me. Which is good because I need the exercise!! He sleeps in his kennel at night.

We chose his birthdate of 2-24-2010- just because that was 20 months from the vet date. Wjat a blessing!! We just Love, Love, Love this doggie.
